Article summary

In the Chain Promotion module, you can define your company's price rules based on available mix & match types. These price rules can then be used in offers in promotions defined for specific time periods and stores. Promotions are exported to EG POS.

Promotion

Promotion's view gives an overview of promotions. In the overview you see name, status, valid period and which stores the promotion is available. You can create new promotions or view/edit existing promotions.
What you can do in this view depends on what your user has access to, and the promotion status.

You can choose which columns that are displayed in the Promotions overview by clicking on the "+" column selector button at the top left of the screen.

Access control

View promotions permission is available in the Store roles. Users can view the Promotions view without this permission.
Permission is needed to view, create, and update promotions. Users can only work with the promotions available in the store/team/profile they have access to with this permission.
They can view, but they can't edit promotions when they have access only to part of the stores the promotions are created for.

In Common roles there are permission for "Manage price rules", "Manage registers" and "Promotion administrator". They block access to pages which contain common data if they are not selected.
