# Introduction to Monitor web App

Monitor App is a web app that gives employees in the store a tool to get better control over the self-checkout area. The app shows all active sales taking place in EG Self-checkout and allows the employee to respond to controls and alarms and be notified about significant events happening in the self-checkout registers. It also means employees can handle events in self-checkout registers from a distance, without having to interrupt the customer's sale.

Several employees can monitor the same store at the same time. When one of them answers a request, it disappears from everyone.

In addition to handling controls, the app provides an **Alarm log** per register and a **View sale** live receipt view.
