# Mix types

Mix types are used to create [Price rules](/v1/docs/price-rules#Create-new-price-rule). These price rules can be used in offers in promotions defined for specific time periods and stores. When the Promotion setup is finished, it must be activated. When it is activated the offers are exported to EG POS, and the offers can be used in POS.

When creating a price rule, you get a list of available mix types.
