Create new Event-driven campaign
A new Event-driven campaign is created by clicking on the New campaign button. The “New campaign” dialog opens.
Step 1: Campaign details
Register a name and description (optional), for the campaign.
Tick “Event-driven”, click Next > to go to the next step.
Step 2: Availability
Select a valid from and to date.
Choose the stores in which the campaign must be available. You can choose from “All stores”, “Selected stores” or "All stores except from".
All stores selected - a new central campaign will be created
If you choose ‘Selected stores’ or "All stores except from" you must choose the stores for which the campaign must be available. A new local campaign will be created.
Click Create to create the campaign.
This will open the campaign details view. It shows “Campaign details”, “Availability” and “Customer journey preferences”. It is possible to edit these details by pressing the Edit button. The editing procedure is the same as for standard campaigns.
Customer journey preferences
Customer journey preferences determine how many times a member can join the customer journey and the length of time that must pass before the member can re-join.
Click on the Edit button to change your customer journey settings.
This will open the “Customer journey preferences” dialog.
Select the number of times a member may join the customer journey and the amount of time that must pass before the member can re-join.
If the number of times a member can join a customer journey is 1, then you will not be able to specify a time interval for when a member can re-join the campaign, as members can only join once.Click on the Update button to update the changes.
NB!
A member can re-join the same event-driven campaign a maximum of 999 times. This limitation arises from the fact that the number series for a coupon for a single member cannot exceed 999, as it will result in duplicate coupons.
If the member is re-added to the campaign before the customer journey ends, the member will be removed from the campaign and re-added from the beginning. The member will not lose any coupons already received.
We recommend setting the period during which the member must wait before he/she can re-join the campaign to longer than the customer journey. If you do not follow this advice, you risk having a member thrown off a customer journey before the journey is completed. The member will retain the coupons the member has received but will not be able to receive mailings that have been set for subsequent dispatch.Example:
