When random control is triggered, the dialog “Please wait for assistance” opens. Informing the customer that a random control is needed. The employees gets a message about that the random control is needed. The employees can be notified directly in the cashier view, in a separate surveillance view in EG POS or in the Monitor App.

An employee goes to the SCO to perform the random control and scans the cashier card. The “Random control” screen opens. At the top of the screen the cashier sees how many items that needs to be scanned in the control. Items added to the sale are displayed to the left.  

The cashier scans or adds the required number of items manually (PLU list, OK button on item or by entering bar code). The controlled items are moved to the right of the screen. When the required number of items are scanned, the cashier must click on the Confirm control button to finish the control.

If the random control has no deviations the “Random control passed” dialog opens. Cashier click OK, the cash register returns to self-service mode, and the customer can proceed with the payment.


Random control with deviation

If the cashier scan items in the random control that is not added to the receipt, it is marked as Deviation in the controlled items section. When the required number of items are scanned, the cashier must click on the Confirm control button to finish the control.

When you click on the Confirm control button the “Deviation found” dialog opens. Informing you about that items that was not registered, are added to the receipt, and the deviations found. You must confirm the deviation.

Click on the Confirm deviation button to confirm the deviation. The cash register returns to self-service mode. The item(s) with deviation is added to the receipt. The customer can proceed with the payment.
