In the User roles menu, you get an overview of the existing roles. Roles are used to configure access to different parts of the system. In this screen you can add new roles or edit existing roles.

To open the “User role details” screen, click on the Code for the relevant user role.

The “User details” screen opens. It contains the Access control tab and the Users tab.


Access control tab

In the top of the screen, you see the role name/code and role type.


Role permissions

In this view you select permissions for the user role. You select permissions using a hierarchy of functions. You can drill down to the wanted level, by clicking on the triangle by the function you want to open.

Then you could drill down to the functions that the role should have permission to access.

Tick the permissions you want to give access to. When you tick one level, e.g., Registers, you also give access to the levels below, e.g., all registers. You could drill down to limit access only to a few permissions.


Search function

You can find functions faster by typing in the search box.

Search result is displayed below. Then you can tick the functions the role should have permission to access.

Expand all

Click on the "Expand all" link if you want to see all permissions. Then it is easier to tick the functions you want to give access to, without drilling down.

Collapse all

Click on the "Collapse all" link to collapse all levels, only the first level (menus) is displayed.

Select all

Click on the Select All button to select all permissions. If you have used the search function, all the permissions found in the search will be selected.

Unselect all

Click on the Unselect All button to unselect all the selected permissions.


Users tab

In the Users tab you can see the user that has access to the role, and you could add and remove the user who should have access to the role.


Add user

Select user from the drop-down list or start writing the user's email.

Click on the user you want to add to the role and click on the Add button.

It is also possible to add roles to a user in the Users menu, in the "User details" screen. In the "User details" screen you can add/remove user roles in the Role tab.
