Article summary

This section provides an overview of the various coupons that are supported. Each coupon type has a number of variants and requirements in terms of how the coupons will be processed in the system. This has been specified for each coupon and will be taken into account automatically when it is registered.

Coupons and items can be registered in any order. Note, however, that coupon lines will be highlighted in red (see Coupon registration) until the terms of the individual coupons have been met. As long as one or more of the coupon lines are highlighted in red, it will not be possible to complete the sale as normal.

Multiple coupons of the same type in the same sale

Coupons can be specified as “once a receipt”. This means that this particular coupon can only be used once per sale and it typically applies to coupons that discount special items or groups of items.

If we assume that a coupon discounts a special item with a given value AND this coupon is NOT specified as “once a receipt”, in principle you will be able to register several of the same item and then several of the same coupon to have more or all of the items discounted.

If the same coupon as referred to above IS specified as “once a receipt”, the cash register will not allow it to be registered more than once per sale. Attempts to register the same coupon type multiple times in the same sale will result in an error message and the registration being refused.
