Manual return

It is possible to perform manual return on item. A manual return does not require you to have the original receipt available.

  1. Tap on the Option icon, and select Return.

  1. The item is displayed in the sales view with negative amount. Tap on the Pay button to finish the online return.

  2. The "Finish payment" screen opens. Pick one of the two options to finish the return: Card or Park.

Refund with Card

Refund can be provided using Card option and having the customer tap their card on your device’s NFC reader.

Park receipt

You can park the receipt by tapping on Park. Then you can go to an ordinary cash register to finish the return.

Online return

It is possible to perform an online return on a finished receipt.

  1. Tap on the Option icon, and select Return.

  2. "Return" dialog is displayed. Tap on the Scan receipt button.

  3. The "Scan receipt" dialog open. Scan the barcode on the receipt. If you are using a normal phone without a supported built-in scanner you will be redirected to the camera instead of this view.

  4. Select reason code by ticking the relevant reason code. Tap on the Confirm button.

  5. Select action code by ticking the relevant treatment code. Tap on the Confirm button.

  6. The item(s) in the scanned receipt is displayed.

  7. Check the items you want to return and tap on the Return items button.

  8. The items are displayed in the sales view with negative amount. Tap on the Pay button to finish the online return.

  9. The "Finish payment" screen opens. Upon scanning the receipt at the beginning of the return process, Mobile POS identifies what payment method was used for the original receipt. The payment methods available for refund is shown based on the original payment method. E.g. If the original receipt was paid with Vipps, Swish, Klarna, MobilePay or Coopay, this will be the refund option available.

  10. Pick one of the two options to finish the return: Card or Park.
