System requirements for EG Retail Mobile POS

The system requirements listed below are minimum requirements for running EG Retail Mobile POS.


Operating system

Operating system:

  • Android

    • Minimum Android v.10

  • iOS

    • Minimum iOS v.15


Required hardware resources

PS: It is recommended to have better hardware than the minimum requirements to enhance performance.

  • CPU:

    • Android unit with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 (8 cores) or later

    • IOS unit with A9 (2 cores) or later

  • Memory: 1 GB or more

    • Offline mode

      Mobile POS will support offline mode in the future. When using Mobile POS with offline support, this requirement will change.

  • Disc configuration: 4GB Flash disc or more


Devices and periphery required to use certain features

Supported enterprise device scanners:

  • Zebra (recommended)

  • Point Mobile

  • Datalogic

Other peripherals:

  • EPOS format for receipt printing with Wifi and/or bluetooth support

    • Supported printers: PM80 & TM30II (New models must be tested and approved by EG)

Other software

Softpay

When using Softpay together with Mobile POS, Softpay’s hardware requirements must also be taken into account:

  • Running minimum Android 8.0 or above. It is recommended to use Android 10+.

  • Equipped with hardware NFC.

  • Online WIFI or Internet connection.

  • Security patch is less than 12 months old.

  • Google Mobile Services is enabled.

  • Both consumer phones (e.g. Samsung, Motorola) and enterprise android devices (e.g. Zebra, Point Mobile) are supported.

  • Antivirus software, provided by the customer.

Minimum 20 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed.
