Sale of electronic products

Electronic products from MBXP can be sold at the cash register by scanning the barcode on the electronic product.

1. Scan the electronic product. An item line for the electronic product is registered in the sales view.

2. Press OK/Enter to go to the payments view.

3. Make the payment.

4. Print the receipt and any “PIN on receipt”.

Some electronic products have two barcodes, a short one and a long one. The long barcode is the one to use when selling an electronic product. If you scan the short barcode, a message will be displayed informing you that you need to scan the product code (the long barcode on the product).

Manual registration not permitted

The manual registration of electronic products is not permitted. If you try to register an electronic product manually you will get an error message.

Payment using electronic product

Some electronic products can be used as payment for all or part of the purchase price.  

1. Register items.

2. Press OK/Enter to go to the payments view.

3. Select the “Pay with externally handled gift card” function.

4. A dialogue box for entering gift cards is displayed. Enter the gift card number.

5. Information is displayed about the balance and the amount that is to be charged. The amount to be charged corresponds to the subtotal, up to a maximum of the gift card balance. You can change the amount here if necessary. Press OK/Enter to continue.

6. Pay any remaining amount using another payment method.

7. Print the receipt.

Return electronic product

The customer wishes to return an electronic product.

1. Select Return.

2. Register the electronic product.

3. An item line is added to the receipt showing the return of the electronic product.

4. Complete the sales transaction and refund the amount indicated in cash.

5. Print the receipt. A customer signature is required!

Return electronic product using “Return e-sale item”

The customer wishes to return an electronic product.

1. Select the Return e-sale item function. A dialogue box is displayed for selecting the type. Select MBXP PayTjek.

2. A dialogue box for registering the electronic product is displayed. Scan the product code (barcode on the electronic product).  

3. An item line is added in the sales view showing the return of the electronic product.

4. Complete the sales transaction and refund the amount indicated in cash.

5. Print the receipt. A customer signature is required.

Balance of electronic product

Function for checking the balance of an electronic product.

1. Select the “Check balance of externally handled gift card” function.

2. Type in or scan the barcode on the electronic product.

3. A dialogue box containing balance information is displayed.

4. Press the C key or OK/Enter to close the dialogue box.

Delete electronic product from sale

Procedure for deleting an electronic product if a customer changes their mind.  

1. Go to the line for the electronic product and select the item line.

2. Select the Delete line function.

3. The item line for the electronic product is deleted (marked as deleted).
