The Stocktakings view shows an overview of stocktaking’s. It displays stocktakings for the stores, to which the user has access to.
There are four stocktaking types: Periodic, Cyclic, Random and Remainder. To create a new stocktaking, see New stocktaking.
Periodic – Periodic stocktaking is used when you should count all the items in the store. It is typically performed at the turn of the year for financial reporting purposes, but can be performed whenever a full stocktaking is needed.
Cyclic – Cycle counting is a type of stocktaking where a certain proportion of inventory stock is counted in intervals. The items to count are pre-defined in count groups, which are added to the stocktaking when it is created. Count groups are created in the Count groups menu.
Random – With a random stocktaking, the stocktaking is empty upon creation. Items are added to the stocktaking by activating the relevant count lists. The stock basis is taken from the count lists.
Remainder - The remainder stocktaking is used to count items that have not been counted since a specified date. The remainder stocktaking is typically used for counting items that were not previously counted during cyclic stocktaking’s during the year.
